Why Clyde Flip exists
Clyde Flip is run by Khan, who buys salvage cars at Scottish auctions and sells them on through Clyde Select. Most fee calculators are built for England or the US. They miss Scottish yards, local transport and the Low Emission Zones in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee. Clyde Flip puts all of that in one place, free.
Our principles
- Show the source. Every fee table says where it came from and when we checked it.
- Say when we're not sure. Anything we can't confirm is marked and can be edited.
- Be honest about examples. The flips on our home page are clearly labelled worked examples built from the calculator, until we publish real ones.
- Independent. We're not linked to any auction house. Some links to vehicle history check providers are affiliate links, always labelled, and they never change our figures (see the affiliate disclosure).
