Clyde Flip may earn a commission from links to vehicle history check providers, at no extra cost to you.
Which links
On our free car check and some guides we link to paid vehicle history checks from Motorscan, HPI Check and carVertical. These links are labelled "affiliate link". If you click one and buy a check, the provider may pay Clyde Flip a commission. You pay the same price as you would going to the provider directly.
We are applying to these providers' affiliate programmes. Until a programme approves us, the link goes to the provider's normal website and we earn nothing from it.
How the links work
- Affiliate links go through a short redirect on our own site (addresses starting
/go/). We count the click so we know which links are useful. We record only the provider, the page the click came from and the time: no IP address, no cookie and nothing that identifies you. - When you land on the provider's site, it or its affiliate network (for example Webgains, which runs HPI Check's programme) may set a cookie to record that you came from Clyde Flip, so the sale can be credited to us. Those cookies are set by them, under their own privacy and cookie policies.

Our promises

- Commissions never change our fee figures, calculator results or what we say about a provider. Our comparison shows each provider's published price and what it covers, including where one is cheaper.
- Our free car check stays free, and we tell you plainly what free checks can and can't show.
We have no commercial relationship with Copart, IAA, SYNETIQ, BCA or Manheim, and recovery firms on our yard pages are listed free with no commission.
