Copart Dunfermline (coming soon)

Copart has announced a new site at Pitreavie Business Park, planned to open by the end of 2026, with space for around 30,000 vehicles. It should make Fife, Dundee, Perth and Aberdeen buyers' collections shorter. We'll update this page when it opens. Until Copart confirms it's open, treat these details as provisional (source: Copart UK remarketing news, January 2026).

Not open yet. Copart has said this site is planned to open by the end of 2026. Check Copart's locations page for the current status.

  • Internet bid fee: £59 + VAT for a £1,000 pre-bid, or £69 for a live bid.
  • Lot retrieval fee: £50 + VAT.
  • VAT at 20% on all fees. VAT on the hammer price applies only to VAT-qualifying lots.
  • Late payment fees and storage charges apply if you don't pay and collect on time.

Collection tips

  • Pay quickly. Copart charges a late payment fee if you haven't paid within its payment window (3 business days at the time of writing).
  • Book your collection slot through Copart's app or member area. Drivers usually need the lot number and release details.
  • Copart can arrange delivery to mainland UK addresses (typically 5–10 days), so compare that with a local recovery quote.
  • Get your transport sorted before you bid. Storage charges can wipe out a thin margin.
  • Take photos of the car when it's loaded, including any damage that wasn't in the listing.
  • Non-runners need a winch or a forklift load. Tell your recovery driver up front.
  • Check the V5C and keys situation in the listing. "No V5" lots take longer to sell on.
